Last week's writing prompt was from Wynne Whiteford's Sapphire Road. Wynn Whiteford was an Australian writer back in the days when it was hard for Australian writers to get published. He remarked back then that having a book published in Australia was at least useful when he went to find publishers in New York. Being able to take copies and show that other publishers had been willing to give him a go made overseas publishers more willing to consider his books. Whiteford was a lovely, gentlemanly sort of man and a presence in SF fandom.
Now for this week's prompt: "By the irony of fate, its complete worthlessness had saved it from olivion."
