This story carries a rating for grossness, which is fair enough. Some of the grossness is going to make some people laugh: Talk about menstruation as an empowering force for women. There's some grossness on the boys' side, too, which might make you look a bit suspiciously at cookies. I thought it was funny, and I liked the heroine who kept thinking that the way to a boy's -heart- was by impressing him with her knowledge of various esoteric topics.
Yeah, "Their Changing Bodies", by Alaya Dawn Johnson is a teen romance (?) set in the woods around a summer camp. Find the story here at PodCastle 194, which rated it R for grossness and profanity. You were warned.
